And, what kind of battery do you use?  size that fits in your hull , Amp and dimensions please? I am curious because my tank is same size as yours. I am using gel batteries, 12 and 6 Volts, 6 Amps.

Using NiCads of either 2.4AH or 3.6AH. Between 20 and 28 cells. Get decent times from them as well. Am still looking to fit SLAs if I can work that out.
