Hello one and all,
As seems customary, this is just a note to introduce myself.
After finishing an extetion on the house after 2 years, I am
now twidling my thumbs andlooking for somthing to do in my,
now, empty hours.
I have always enjoyed modeling and 'something that does
something' has always appealed. Flying an airoplane well is
definatly a fine skill, but dogfighting would make it oh so
much better and since there are few takers thats out. Also
the size of my English garden, does not really allow for the
rsacing around of of-road cars, so a Tank did seem rather a
good idea.
So imagine my pleasure when I stumbled upon this wonderful
site.
So here I am
I'm Mike and I live in Reading, Berkshire.
After having a look at all of the wonderful creations and
taking into consideration what funds and what my kids could
help me with, I have plumped for a nice German number. They
always made the best looking tanks. The other crterior was
it should be as simple as possible. So the Jagpanther
Sd.Kfz. 173 it will be.

One of the first issues I have found is finding some good
mechanical drwaings of one.
I ahev founs loads of reference pictures but I have had
terible trouble extracting from them the exact dimensions. I
have some now, but It was interesting getting them.

I was wondering how much 'compromise' others made on their
models and how and where details plans were obtained from?

I will, when they are finished post my ACAD drawings.

I am already looking forward to unleashing the first salvo.

Mike
