What explains the Hetzer's lighter weight is that it is smaller than most
and does not have a turret.  The Hetzer has also acquired a bit of metal
reinforcements over the years.

IMO 1/4" or 8mm shafting is to thin for use in these models.  The front and
rear axels on the Cromwell are 1/2" hardened steel and they occasionally get
bent.  Takes a sledge hammer and a couple blocks of wood to hammer them back
into shape.
