Thanks Chrys for the info about using aluminum.  Do you know of any places where I could get sheets of aluminum for a reasonable price?  I have access to over six machine shops on campus so cutting and milling would not be a problem.  The only problem for me is getting the raw material.

If I had a way to reach Mike and ask him about his project, I would in a heart beat due to the incredible work he has done on the hull.  But anything is possible.  Thanks again for the good tip.
