Chris,

That is actually exactly what I am using on the ASU-85.  It was the right size for my purpose since the ASU has narrow tracks.  The center section "wings" have been removed from my tracks with a side cutter (and my hand hurt like hell after all that cutting).  They flex from side to side somewhat, but with how my wheels are constructed (deep/wide center groove) they should work well.  I was planning on attaching skateboard tape or some small/thin pieces of rubber to the tracks to improve the smooth surface traction on them.  They seem fairly strong and since I bought two boxes of the track, if the plastic links break I have plenty of replacements.

funny you say rex as I was looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140029740480&sspagename=ADME:B:RTQ:US:1 it looks a bit too narrow with them little pads. the seller is sending my some info on it. I thought it might be a simpler solution to making tracks if not for the fact that there is no kind of cleat.
