I would put another layer or so on your turret. I fiberglassed mine as well, and I did a test with a small sepperate sheet. I shot it with my paintball gun at about 40 ft, and it make a big crack in the fiberglass. I since then added 2 more layers, and it seems like it will be more than enough to prevent a paintball from damaging it.

thickness). Most of the turret is one layer thick and on the corners I
added another layer. I guess I'll find out if its thick enough when I
take all of the foam out of the inside but I'll take all the advice I
can get first.
