I am using this motor for my turret. It has plenty of power, and the
speed seems to be just about right.

The only issue is interfacing the turret to the motor. The motor has a
thick splined shaft, which is a little unusual.

What I did was cut out a 3" diameter piece of wood about 1" thick. I
then used a dremel tool to make a "socket" for the shaft shape. Then I
attached the piece of wood directly to the bottom of my turret. The
motor is mounted in the hull and the shaft sticks up through a hole and
interfaces with the turret. The turret is mounted on a lazy susan type
bearing, which is 8" in diameter.

Seems to work fine, but of course it's never been battle tested!

I saw the same motor the other night when showing Paul where to get some

electrical stuff. They are the right size and speed, so the only
remaining question is whether they are strong enough for the job. Of
course, the only way to tell that is to buy a couple and give them a
try. After all, that's why my shop is full of parts that "almost
worked" :-)
