Mouse pads work great for most electronics. They have the right kind of
rubber foam to dampen the shock and protect the components.

What are people using to shock mount electronics?
Right now I have a spring cushioned project box. I wasn't sure if
springs were better than rubber grommets. I guess you're just trying to
reduce large blows, right? Its hard for me to imagine these chips
failing because of non-electrical jolts.
How about batteries? shaken or stirred?
