I've given serious consideration to scaling it to 1/5th or even 1/4 but as I'm presently limited in funds, I'm wantng to use the drive system I have on hand - at least for my first venture. However, as stated by Steve, the motor/gear set I have may not support the sizing up. Which is lighter to use...ply, masonite or plexiglas (used frugally and in appropriate thickness where needed)?

My thought is to replicate the original road, bogie and idler setup per the original with a working suspension on the road wheels. The drive gear I think it would be easier to employ the friction design rather than a toothed setup.  As far as I know, there are no R/C combat tank groups/clubs in my immediate area. Are there listings of such to be had? My immediate goal is at the moment is just to get a tank going and then refine my skills with something more powerful at a later date. Going will be slow as I'm prepping for some medical exams but should get started fairly soon. At least on the chassis/frame. By the way, are there any providers of conveyer belt (plastic with toothed design as in joe Sommer' Hetzer) in Tennessee or nearby? How much do you usually have to buy to fill an order?

Thanks to all the kind response.
Monty

I don’t think your Skoda would be too small. Fifteen ft. in 1/6 scale would be about 30”. My Cromwell is going to be 38”.
