the motor's max rpm is 2600 rpm -at- 24vt

motor gear 10 tooth to first gear 36 tooth making the rpm 722.22222

second gear 12 tooth (on same shaft as gear one) to axel shaft 36 tooth - now this is where i get confused, how do i work this one out 12 divide into 36? if so that would make it 3:1 or 1:3, but guessing the rpm will be 240 rpm (what you came up with).

with a track drive sprocket of 3.9" / 9.906 cm and that will have a cir. of 12.25"/31.12 cm

the size of the drive sprocket is important as with the one above, the tank will travel aprox 12.25" x 240 rpm = 2940" per minute divided by 12" = 245 feet per minute.

so your saying i should use 18 to 20 tooth gears rather than the 36.

now if i use 20 tooth sprockets..................

the motor's max rpm is 2600 rpm -at- 24vt

motor gear 10 tooth to first gear 20 tooth making the rpm 1300

second gear 12 tooth (on same shaft as gear one) to axel shaft 20 tooth - guessing the rpm will be 780 rpm (maybe a bit too fast).

now with 18 tooth ...............

the motor's max rpm is 2600 rpm -at- 24vt

motor gear 10 tooth to first gear 18 tooth making the rpm 1444.4444

second gear 12 tooth (on same shaft as gear one) to axel shaft 28 tooth - guessing the rpm will be 628.0139 rpm (maybe a bit too fast). something is wrong, it should be faster, right?
