We have generally moved away from the KCM"s (kiddy car
motors) in the front line combat vehicles due to performance
issues.

is a Skoda Pz.Kpfw.38(t) . Having the same suspension as the 38t Hetzer the road
wheels et al should minimize my pain somewhat. One question I have is what scale
is appropriate for this vehicle? being of such small size in real life, a mere
15ft in length, it seems a 1/6 scale would be
dwarfed.
We have an operational Hetzer built to 1:6
scale. IMHO the issue will be fitting a marker inside that small
turret.

proportional drive system outlined in your "How To" articles. Well written, but
I'm a bit unfamiliar in the electronics department especially when
constructing it oneself. are there any tutorials on this for those with
elemental electronic knowledge of schematics and
such?
That article is a little old. Currently there are two
commercially available proportional controllers in use that I know of.
These are the Anvilus controller that Joe Sommer makes (Anvilus.com) and the
RS80D from Robot-Solutions.com. Both, when installed correctly, are giving
excellent service on the battlefield.

Glad to have you and looking forward to your build
photo's.
