Hello Monty, My name in BrendanKotlanger. My dad and I have been in the hobby for 2 years and we recently made my panther fully functional. My dad's tank is going to be the Marder 3. It has the same chassi as yours but has a pak 36 artillery piece on it instead of a turret. 65 degree rotation. The tank if properly built at 1/6 scale will be about 31 inches long, 14inches wide, my version will be 22 inches tall. The motor gear box would be about 8 inches wide. I am constructing our chassi with a 1/2 inch baseplate and 1/4 inch side plates plywood. I will fiberglass everything. The suspension will be active and reinforced with 3/4 inch plywood blocks. I am going to make my suspension arms by cutting some aluminum bars. The road wheel will be held in place by a bolt with a hole tapped into the aluminum. It will be held to the hull with another bolt and a flange bearing. Look at the cromwell on tankcombat. I need to make 2 evwarrior gearboxes 4 inches wide to fit in but it
will be a fast tank. If you build your tank light and strong, you could get away with a smaller reduction like 7 or 8/1 because the tank is small. You might have turret space issues.
