Have you thought of using piano hinges? Could they be cut to length?

Hello everyone :)

After seeing this, http://forum.rctankcombat.eu/viewtopic.php?t=48 I was
intrigued with the idea of using hinges for the tracks... I once concidered
this before, but slipped my mind until now.

I was wondering, if anyone know of an online surplus store where I can
get 4" wide (for a Tiger 1) butt joint hinges. I need them to be extremely
inexpensive as my budget right now is kind of low... Material doesnt matter.

I like the idea of full metal tracks, and if they made that squeeking
sound like a real tank, that would be heaven. Also, I like the idea how they
are driven, which seems very reliable... My only concern is if my gearmotors
will have the power to turn the tank, but thats a chance Im willing to
take.. Thanks :)
