If been doing wood working, carving, ect.for going on 30 years now.Helicopter mech.in the army and I've been customizing them now for over 10. Moving down to Tenn. gave me the room to timberframe my own woodshop.Framed like a barn, using all the joinery and tech. in the frame, oak pegs and all. Still needs some details, like 220 run out to it, still on the temp cord,110.The frame is pine 6x6,6x4,4x4,2x4 from the saw mill. Covered it with hemlock. If you like I can put up or send you some photos of it going up. The Tank, well the to is just sitting on there right now, haven't decided how I'm going to hinge it yet. Perhaps those hide away hinges on the right side. The grates in the back. There cut out individually and butted together with underlay frame from 1/4 luane. The center panel in hinged. The frames of aft grates are cut out with a jigsaw, then the filling is small strips cut and glued in.the forward grates are a little trickier, there cross pieces are curved between the rails of the grait,i'll probably cut rings out and cut them up and glue them in. As far as the rest of them its a dremel with a 1/8 roundnose cutter and files. everything will get a coat of resin and lots of sanding. Thanks for all the encouragement from everyone, as far the outside world interference on things, my wife has an art degree and understands my endevers. The shop is also known as the" Sancuary".More later. Tom in Tenn.
