Hey everyone,
I just found something for all you people thinking of using rockets
launchers for their vehicles.
I found it while looking through a winter sales brochure, it's called a 'USB
missile launcher' which connects to your computer. Why any one would want
that is downright unknown,
But it might be worth looking into, especially Bryan and his Sd.kfz.4, as it
eliminates the need to supply each tube with propulsion, as it pushes the
foam missiles with a spring. and without the possible bulkiness of a
paintball gun mechanism. (it can also give you more barrell length for
accuracy)
If someone managed to find a similar way to shoot paintball's then it will
make life a whole lot easier for rocket tube user's.
The only problem is what the rules say about paintball guns ( Only CO2
powered paintball markers may be used as weapons) , but this approach is
probably much safer, but I don't make the rules, I just bend them ;)
I belive that 'spring loaded' paintball rocket tubes will widen armoured car
option's and open the rocket launcher section to more novice builders. I'm
not planing to use them (unless I turn my tank into a Matilda hedgehog!), so
everyone is free to try it. However if this is deemed against the rules I'll
just drop it here, there's no point buliding something I can't use in
battle.
I have several other ideas coming that might be useful, one is a new
suspension type that looks hopeful. Could this be the start of Wade
Engineering LTD?
