Gentlemen,
The SU-100 Kit Project is officially up and moving forward again.
A few details.
Included in kit
All plastic hull construction.
Highly detailed plastic road wheels and drive sprocket
Full cast aluminum suspension
Vacumn formed armor
custom built solid state motor controller (up to 40 volt and 50 amp per
channel)
all bushings, bearings, spacers and hardware needed for construction
all associated wiring
build instructions
Additional Parts bought separately
designed for 3.25 inch 820 series conveyor chain tracks
designed for 18 volt Harbor Freight drill motors (in future to be adapted to
other motor types)
Hopeing to have all the molds and dies built by end of summer so that kits
can be built over winter.
To Steve Tyng: Do you have any better drawings of the gear motors you have.
I figure people would like to use these since they are in a nice little
package. Hopefully I can help you sell some of them :-)
Also I wanted to get with you or one of the tank destroyer guys and see if
you wanted to design the barrel elevation and rotate mechanism to fit into
the SU-100 hull. I have several types of plastic injection molding and
aluminum casting abilities at my disposal as well as machineing of course.
I do not however have much experience with these mechanisms in real world
applications. I can send .dwg solid models of the forward hull to whomever
might be interested.
