mark, I have drawn up a tread that I will be casting up in a tuffer resin with a metak insert, but have to wait until I start unpacking (when the basement gets finished). i know (did know) where the tank books where I had with the hand drawn track link on it. if i was smart (and i wasn't at the time), i should have put the booklets and papers in the Tiger itself so i'd know exactly where it was.

the links are to be attached to a single length of 40 attachment chain with 2 screws. I have most of the raised detail like you would find on a german track link along with 2 pieces of metal runing through it from side to side. these pieces will help for running on solid surfaces such as black top and concrete and will also help on dirt as it will help give a bit of a bite. between the two pieces of metal, there will be (in resin as part of the track link casting) them slanted raised lines.

If i recall, the average thickness of the link was 5/16"-+

but all this has to wait a few more weeks. after that, i'll be jumping into a lot of my work and these links. and after I get the first ones casted, i'll give a shout to Joe (is that right?) and have him stop by if he wants one weekend and check out the ones i have casted so far and let him give his opinion on them.

by that time, i hope to be back to getting something done on the tank as well (even if it's just getting the new motors drive line installed).
