The original intent was for the three upper rollers to keep the turret centered and the weight was going to be supported by a center bearing at the bottom of the hull. The rotate mechanism and part of the turret was going to be located down in the hull like yours. The design didn't come to pass because the three rollers managed to hold the turret on just fine (because they wrapped around the plywood of the upper hull). I added a gearmotor to one of the rollers which became a friction drive at that point. I like your design. It will be particularly well suited for designs that have a shallow hull and turret (like an M1). The only issue will be finding room for the drive batteries. Steve
