Question about 1/6 scale tanks ..... [TANKS]

Hi to all,

 

I "really" would like to get started on a project of some sort .....

 

Question .. has anyone have experience with 21st Century products 1/6 tanks and "making" them work with a marker gun?

What should I look for in this area ... OR ... should I consider starting out with one of the smaller scales just to play and work my way up.

I have seen some of the  $400 - $600.00 kits ... but .. that's a little rich to spring on the "HQ Commander" to start another "hobby .. toy"  :-)
