Hi Garnet,
Good to hear from you. We will arrive in town on Thursday or Friday (July
20,21) and leaving on Monday or Tuesday (Whenever they throw us out). We
will be staying in the RV section of Prairieland, which is to the right of
the Ruth/Herman entrance. Our trailer is a King of the Road 5th. Wheel.
We will be competing at WBX with a 60# (Fly Speck II) and 120# bot
(Botfly), so will probably be there most of the time on the weekend, but
not very hard to find. My 120# is the defending champion from last year.
Our team name is "Team Maggot", hence the fly theme in the bot names. :)
Look forward to meeting you (I REEAAAALLLLY want to se your tanks). Both
are great, and I like the little extras (laser sighting...sound module.) I
have been digging through all the info I can find, and plan on using the
info on the website a lot. As it stands now, I have decided on the Russian
T34-85. Looks fairly easy to build, and has a lot of room in the turret. I
get along better with metal than wood, so it will most likely be steel and
aluminum.
Gary
