   I used #25 chain on my 1/5 scale Sherman, and it worked okay in terms of 
strength, but wouldn't stay on the sprockets.  That, however, was a 
quality-of-construction problem.  I plan on using #25 chain in my 1/6 scale 
Mk IV.
   In the first stage of a chain reduction system, torque (tension) is low 
and speed is high.  You could easily use #25 in the first stage and bigger 
chain in the later stage(s).
