There's more to speed then just HP.  The sprocket drive gets the power to the ground and the suspension keeps your tank from bouncing itself to pieces.  A reliable proportional control allows you to drive around other vehicles and people in safety.

EVW's at 24v can put out 1,156 watts (1.55HP)  if your batteries, wiring, and controller can handle the amperage.
