I think that it would be way more than you need.
Rick's Stug uses 2 250 watt scooter motors and has
more than enough power. If you search Ebay type in 250
watt scooter motor or for more power 350 watt. They
have some for $15 each plus shipping. Just make sure
they have reverse rotation.
