Just what Marc said. You would be the first one :) There are more people on the mailing list that had the same idea (including me). I would try to place two braking units on the output shafts of the differential. A disc or drum brake would work. The only thing you must figure out is how to control the brakes. Remember that the force used to operate the brake's would be high.
