When I said 3 40 amp automotive relays I meant three per
channel(track?)(side?).

If I wanted to pick up that Anvilus Mini and I wanted 2 oz plating is that
something you already do or is that something I'd have to pay extra for.
Would it matter? Frank mentioned that the mini could handle 150ma on it's
outputs. I don't know that much about heavy SSRs but if I where to put 3 40
amp automotive SSR's in parallel for the purpose of handling 120a peak could
I expect the anvilus controller to handle them? I guess I'm asking, what is
the control current for the common automotive relays you guys use? What
would be the total current they'd need to get from the Anvilus Mini to
function properly and (again) would the heavier 2oz plating help the Anvilus
Mini survive or is it overkill?

I use ExpressPCB http://www.expresspcb.com/ shareware and their
mini-board fabrication service for initial prototypes.

For larger quantities, I use TraxMaker to create Gerber files and
BareBonesPCB https://www.barebonespcb.com/!BB1.asp fabrication
service.

You can also get 2 oz plating (instead of standard 1 oz plating) from
Advanced Circuits http://www.4pcb.com/index.htm which helps high
current applications.

My graduate students prefer EagleCAD http://www.cadsoft.de/
shareware for creating Gerber files.

It is very difficult to make high quality double-sided boards with
plated-through
holes and 0.010 inch traces at home

If you are serious about selling boards, I strongly recommend that
you learn to use ExpressPCB. It is very intuitive. We make all of
our mechanical engineering students who take ME 462 Microprocessor
Interfacing www.mne.psu/edu/sommer/me462 learn to use ExpressPCB
so that they can understand the fundamentals of designing boards
for commercial products.

You will never again think about etching your own boards.
