I am using keyed shafts for mine.  Basically it's a shaft with a square keyway cut into it, square key inserting in the keyway, then there is a keyway cut into the sprockets.

This is quite the newb question, but how do you folks get your drive wheels to hold onto the axle?  I can make a free wheeling road wheel easily, but I'm stuck on finding ways to make a locked wheel.  Any recommended parts to do so?
