Torsion bars are a good idea but  you have to use spring steel not regular steel...  regular steel will break eventually if it flexes at all.    Hope this helps you out.  Garnet

Subject: Torsion bars? [TANKS]

I was thinking about the suspension for my Tiger, and was origionally going to use the traditional extension spring idea. I was wondering what would be a good material for the torsion bars if I so choose to go with torsion bar suspension. I was thinking maybe steel...

And what thickness would you suggest to use? Im guessing about 1/8"- 3/16" thick bars would suffice to hold my tank up. Thanks
