John & Steve,
What are the overall measurements of your tanks (l
x w x h) and scale?
I'd also like to know the inside measurements
of the hull.
I've been thinking of building a Churchill MkIII,
but at 1:6 scale the length is around 1250 mm and whidth (between tracks) is a
mere 260 mm. Scaling the tank up to 1:5 would make it close to 1,5 meters and
that is just too long I think. My StuG has 300 mm between tracks and this proved
to be a very tight fit for all components.
I have always liked the Churchill for it's (lack
of) design, especially the version with the tracks exposed. I saw the one in the
photo attached yesterday in a Dutch museum and thought it would make a good
second project tank.
Thanks.
Marc
