I have 2 questions;

I'm deciding on a speed controller, the motors I plan to use are as follows:

Fortress Scientific
SH Series
TYPE: A9YIX00271
24V DC
15A CURRENT
OUTPUT 84 IN-LBS (by my converter, thats 7 Foot pounds)
172 RPM

I was looking at a Vantec RDFR23 for control.

Now, my first question, Do these motors sound like they'll work for a tank application? I was hoping they would have enough torque without gearing, as I wanted to do direct drive. And would the Vantec 23 work? Or is there a better speed controller I should consider?
