        Kurt;

               Sorry about the last sentence.  I do this in the mornings before I go to work and I was talking to my wife while I typed.

         Kurt;

               I bought my springs at one of the local " surplus " stores in my area.  I remember the box saying they were seat return springs for cars.  What caught my attention was the fact there were left and right handed.  These go at the hinge point where the seat back attaches to the side of the seat.
               I think Prof. Joe addressed spring tension some time in the past and I used his calculations to determine what I needed.  I was going to use a system that had common springs that I could get at the local hardware store ,but these came up cheap and I adapted.  I mounted my springs outside the hull so as to keep as much room inside as possible.  The  The result is that yard and woods I've been testing are that my suspension gathers a lot of trash along with the return rollers.

Randy,
May I ask where you found your seatback return springs ?
And what model car or other criteria, if any, did you have to use to get the ones you have ???
