I am going to be ordering my gears and chain for my transmission soon and was just asking to make sure how many teeth I need per gear. I've decided to use #40 pitch gears, and was thinking of using 10 tooth and 30-35 tooth gears. There is going to be 3 of the 3:1 reductions total. I'm not really concerned about the speed of my tank, as long as it has plenty of torque to climb, pull, etc... My motors are approx. 1/4-1/3 Hp on 12 volts, and are dual rotation. I am asking to see if I need a higher ratio to have my motors be able to lug my tank around all day. Thanks
