Chris,

Nice looking sprocket and track. Is that the sprocket made out of Smoothon?
Pretty nice. I have a question for those using a regular TTS friction
drive. What do you use to attach the wooden drive wheels to the keyed axle
if you are keeping all the chains and gears inside the hull. I know Steve
had the gears outside and used a flat plate sprocket on a dead axle. So, how
does the wooden drive wheel hold on to the live axle? Got any pictures?

Thanks,

John

Hi all,
I finally got some work done on the tracks. The inner cleats are
1/4" hobby plywood, the outer cleats are 1/4" masonite, the teeth are oak.
Everything is held together with Gorilla Glue (says on the bottle "Toughest
glue on planet earth" and it's 100% waterproof) and screws. Should prove to
be tough enough. I used the sprocket as a jig (same as Steve did) to make it
all line up nicely. Should be finished some time this week.
