If you haunt garage sales watch for older bedroom
furniture.
Most of the stuff from the seventies and early
eighties had frames,drawer fronts and slides of maple or other
hardwoods. Drawer bottoms are often baltic birch. Newer ones are particle
board.
I,ve picked up a couple for less than
$20.00.
