My theory was that balancing the marker resulted in a neutral servo position
to prevent the elevation servo from continously adjusting the marker
position. This would save rx battery power, and I thought this would be the
best option for a stabile gun platform.
Now that I'm reading your mail, I'm leaning toward modifying it by just
adding a weight to the aft of the marker as you said for 2 reasons:
- the rx battery box ( 4 x 1,2 V penlites) has been upgraded to a 7,2 V 3300
mAh racing pack, so more power is already available
- the bouncing of the gun in the current set up also draws a lot of current
from this battery
