Classification: UNCLASSIFIED Hi Mike, I will most likely scratch build one. I am leaning toward a Tiger II or maybe a Jagd Tiger/Panther. The Tiger has
more room but the Panther looks better. I have used 1/8th inch Syntra, blown PVC Sheet, and might use the ¼ inch which is what "Fields of Armor" uses. Very strong and light weight. It can be strengthened in the drive areas with plywood. I would have put EV warriors in it, but they seem to have all been purchased by other tank builders. I have lots of 4 view drawings of most vehicles but would love to find some real plans to take over to Kinko's for enlarging. Any suggestions for good motors to replace the EVs that don't cost a ton of dollars? I am also looking at some sale paintabll guns that seem to be pretty good based on the reviews. Only $45 for a PMI Pirahna R6 or a Orion Viewloader. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help. I will take all I can get. John John R. I've found a number of free plans, or more correctly, 3 and 4-view line drawings from which you could build a reasonably scale model from. I plan to build a Jagdpanther using this method. I have been trying to find a paper (card) model of the Jagdpanther in order to scale it up and create templates for the flat plate sections. The hull itself of wood, plexi/lexan or plastic sheet could be built for very little money. I know what you mean about the prices asked for those models. Awesome they may be in function as well as cost! I bought a decent used 911 a few years back for less than some of these models! In any event, I have been scouring the internet of late
searching for plans and drawings I may have an Elefant drawing on the hard-drive. I can post it here if you like. Your might also consider a Hummel if you're after a big one. I like the Maus myself:; simple, striking and big. I want one, ust don't want to have to pay that much to get one. But, I could always spend the kids college fund and tell them to get more scholarships. :-) Thanks again, John John R.
