Hello,
As a short cut while I learn the skills needed to build from scratch
( I plan on taking some welding and carpentry courses at the local
community college)
I purchased the M5 Stuart 1:6 and have been looking over the
modifications needed.
Fortunately my wife (Kay) used to build circuit boards for TVA so she
is real good with electronics (and has agreed to help!)
but I have several questions about marker choice
the articales mention using the .40 cal splatmatic
I was wondering if using GTVe would be possible I thought it might
take less work since it feeds on the right side.
Would the fire button from the standard receiver be enough to trigger
an electronic marker?
I guess what I am really asking about is for some size information
about the markers.
At this point I am not sure if I will try the first radio mod or go
straight to the skid-steer mod listed in the article
If I do go with a new radio setup any suggestions?
Once I have at least started the modifications I will send in pics
and request a tank designation number.
I look forward to meeting you all at some point. I grew up in
Maryland and still have family in Bowie.
Thanks for the help
Regards,
James (NoSpace) StewartNewman
