Those are the motors used in the Navarone Gun and in John's new Comet
for rotate and they work great!!! A little heavy and cumbersome for a
tank, but they are very strong and smooth, providing great accuracy for
long range shooting.

Unfortunately, we bought them originally as surplus for $15 and then
that guy selling them on ebay bought the entire surplus supply and has
been selling them on ebay for $30-60.

The Tiger-1 currently uses a more compact gearbox motor from
surplus-center.com that works just as well, for much less money and
weight. I have mine driving the turret using a v-belt and pulley, but
it could also be used to drive it via a friction wheel. You can get
them at different speeds (2rpm, 9rpm and 18rpm) to suit your power and
speed needs. Best of all, it only costs about $12.
