I'm assuming you mean a three channel radio.  Having no elevate will
really limit your battling envelope.  I highly recommend an elevate.
Bite the bullet and get a 5 channel or better radio now.  You will
eventually want the capacity.  I found my current 5 channel system on
eBay for $75 (Futaba 5UAP).
