I have been looking at the various experiments that have taken place with
cameras. I was particularly impressed with the view from the hetzler. I was
wandering how many people would consider tank camera only combat. I think it
would make for some very interesting battling as recon would be critical!
Also turrented tanks would be best operated by two people, a driver and a
gunner, with arguments over who is in charge :)
I wouldn't propose that all combat be like this, just for the people who
would find it a hoot.
The main problems I see are those of reliability and the need for multipule
frequencies foir the TV systems. it would in fact open up battle locations
as even a backyard with some cardboard boxes will offer plenty of stuff to
hide behind if all you can see is what is piped fron the turrent camera.
Although I haven't yet begun a project I can't wait to have not just a tank
that I can control and shoot, but the possibility of sitting in the drivers
seat :)
