Just wanted to chime in with a hello to everyone and offer my services to any who need details on specific tanks and/or measurements made.  I volunteer at the Ft. Snelling Military Museum here in Minnesota and have access to a wide variety of US tanks and other hardware (most of them fully operational and fun to drive).  We meet only once a month so any requests for specific things could take a month for me to get back to you.  Link to the museum:

(Donations or volunteers to the museum are welcome....;) they help us restore these beauties to fully operational mode.)

Currently I have an M5 Stuart with a replacement barrel to install a paintball gun into, an 1/6 scale (reported as 1/6, but it's more like 1/8) M2 Bradley from 21st Century Toys (will finish R/C'ing it one day), and hopefully a 1/6 scale Tiger I sometime soon.  I've been perusing your site for quite sometime and would really love to join in on the fun, but being in MN I don't think there are any members up in my neck of the woods.  That leads me to my question.  I have a 12V Johnson motor that I am going to use to power my turret rotation and I was wondering about ESC options.  I know there is the the Tri-pac and other options in the "How to" section of the site, but instead of building one I wanted to purchase one to save space and time.  What is bothering me is that all of the brushed ESC's I come across that are 12V capable with reverse all have a cell stipulation on them and a battery type.  Since my main drive system will be EV Warriors running at 24V powered by SLA batteries, I was wondering if these ESC's would be damaged by running SLA's instead of NiCd's?  They specify NiCd's.  I was planning on tapping 12V from one battery in the 24V system.

Thanks,

Derek (sorry for the shameless museum plug...)
