I'm in New York, just outside of NYC.

The "gun" laws in NYC are insane!!

The technicality of the law for paintball "guns" is that it MUST be 
completely disassembled for transit thru The City; the law specifies that 
the air tank must be removed and empty, the barrel must be removed and the 
trigger assembly must be removed from the body if possible and each part 
stored seperately. There is an in-door paintball feild in Queens and they 
cite the law on their web-site and tell people to transport their gear at 
their own risk if they choose not to just rent at the feild.


It's a difficult law to enforce because of "probable cause", but still not 
worth losing your gear over, not to mention fines and possible jail term.
