I used a Qloader as a paintball feeder in the

It absolutely has insufficient power to use it as a marker.

It uses a ratchet wheel that has to be pushed to
release the spring tension and thus forcing paintballs out of the loader. I
think it will be tricky to construct a single shot system, apart from the lack
of power I wrote above.
But: it hasn't been tried yet ;-)
