About my STuG: I noticed that the battery pack for
the receiver (4 x NiMh 2300 mAh cells) drains quite fast because the elevation
servo is constantly correcting the gun position whilst driving. So after approx.
20 minutes I have to changes these batteries.
My main power source for the motors is a 12 V 24 Ah
battery, and a second 12 V 7,2 Ah battery is used for the controller and cooling
fans.
Would it be a problem (in terms of noise) to hook
the power lines from the elevation servo up to the controller battery? With the
capacity of 7,2 Ah it's quite overrated for just the controller and the
fans, so this option would level the drain on all batteries. There is not much
room for a fourth battery, so I'd like to stick to the three I've already got
installed.
