Ben,
You can pretty much start where ever you want. I would suggest you start by
building the hull, and then cram everything in, but others think it's best
to get everything (motors, batteries, etc) and build around it. Both ways
work. The biggest factor is the motors, once you know what your going to use
(or at least the dimensions) you can build the hull so they will fit. One
other alternative is to build a 1/6 scale Elephant (Sdkfz 184), you will
have no trouble fitting everything in that monster;-) Although it would make
a pretty nice target! Once you've built the hull you should make the wheels
and tracks, just so you can get the thing moving. After that it's pretty
basic.
