Any suggestions out there?? 
 
I'am building a Hetzer:
-Unite scooter motors; 280w, 2750 rpm, 15.4 amp, 24vdc with an 11 tooth drive gear on each motor.
-drive wheel; 41/8 inch dia.
-weight; best guess....60-80 lbs.
 
I want to achieve 5 to 7 mph and maintain full-skid turning ability.  What gear reduction would be needed?
 
I remember there was a post that described a robot website that a had a motor/gearbox calculation program....anyone remember this website?
If anyone could explain how to calculate this manually....that would be great to.
 
Thanks for you help guys.   What about teathering the balloons and mount a servo controlled panning video camera to video the action(keep the action on the ground)?
