Hi  Randy.. I went to several different places and no luck welding the one way bearing.. the only option the guys said was to drill a whole though it all and put a pin in it...  not sure about that though.... I will keep in touch.  Garnet

I really would like to know. It sounds like it would be the answer if a transmission ever showed up on the market. Like a steering differential (pant,pant)

Hi  Randy..  the welding of the shaft only makes the shaft stay out... the one way bearing is within the big gear in the middel..  I am going to take it to a garage that works on the starters and see if they can change it..  the motor has lots of torque because of the gearing.  so if I get one working it would be great..   I will let you know what I find out.  Garnet
