I make wheels on the
mitersaw or the tablesaw. Which saw I use depends on
quantity, size, and desired precision. I cut the larger disks on the
tablesaw. I get higher precision on the tablesaw.

I'm not
touchy. I was just pointing out a lower cost alternative to buying the
wooden toy wheels from Rockler. You can make decent wheels with a mitersaw
and it's a tool any prospective tank builder should have in their shop
already.

Cutting disks on any
type of power saw is considered an advanced skill. If you don't have
confidence in your ability to use the tool I wouldn't recommend cutting
wheels. Tablesaws are the most versatile wood working tools but to do
really cool stuff with them requires taking the blade guard off. If your
not prepared to do that I wouldn't buy one.
