In my StuG-design I chose to place all heavy
components (motors, batteries) as close to the center of the tank as possible.
The result is that my main battery is now placed under the gun assembly and
cannot be replaced without dismounting a few items, so will not be easy during
battles.
I have a 24 Ah battery for the drive motors only
and am planning on buying a 12 V charger to be able to recharge the battery by
using my car battery.
Is there anyone else who uses the same setup
or am I the only idiot who chose weight balancing over battery
effectiveness?

PS: What is the average distance between tx
and tank during battle? And what would be your maximum range without distortion
of radio signals?
