The electronic trigger on the marker I was using required almost constant
attention to get it to fire reliably. The solenoid in these triggers are
rather small and conversely not very powerful. To make up for this lack of
power the trigger has to be adjusted to a "hair trigger" setting to get it
to function correctly. I think getting knocked around as the tank rattles
across the battlefield is probably to much for an e-trigger and tends to
knock it out of adjustment. The two failure modes were the marker would not
fire or the marker would not re-cock after being fired. Both very annoying
on the battlefield and requiring a trip back to home base.

I am now a firm believer in the door lock actuator trigger (DLAT?) as
pioneered by John Pittelli on his Pak40. Frank's Naverone gun uses a DLAT
and fired over 2500 rounds without a single problem at the Danville event.

Insider tip: Put a pull string on your marker so you can cock it without
opening up your turret.
