The thickness of the FOA tanks armor is
approx 1/8" thick... give or take a bit...the turret is also the same
thickness....the plastic is very sturdy and I believe it will hold up to
paintball abuse..as for the outside mounted accessories...i.e. ,MG
barrel...headlight...smoke launchers...fire extinguisher, front and rear
mud flaps...etc...they may get blown off by the paintballs....I drilled a hole
thru my MG barrel and strengthened it with a copper rod...as for my hatches, I
drilled out the resin latches and attached them with copper rods so they
can open and close..I've painted my Tank to represent the surviving Tiger in the
movie"Kelly's Heroes", and I also converted a 1/6 tank commander to represent
the fat faced German commander in the movie(Karl-Otto Alberty)..I will post some
pictures of my Tiger and commander ASAP...like I said previously I'm not
mechanically inclined in the art of RC converting and would appreciate it
greatly if someone could email some instructions on how to get started and maybe
also an idea on the best Items to make my tank run..I'm looking to keep my
tank lightweight...under 100 lbs...
Thanks
